Foundation Council of the National Design Archive

The Foundation Council has a mandate to create the National Design Archive, establish the principles and practices relevant to the five archives, and lay the groundwork for hand-over to an elected council to take the project forward after 2008.
The Foundation Council consists of representatives from four of the archival areas (Exhibitions, Research, Industry and Education), along with others providing technical and project establishment support.

David Warwick Convener
|
Director of technology provider Komodo CMS who are supplying the underlying archival technology, as well as Director of Melbourne based design business Smart Works. David is also a member of the Digital Council of ADMA and a member of AGDA, AIMIA, ACS, AIM, IABC, and the Melbourne Press Club.

Russell Bevers
|
Program Coordinator of the Masters of Design and Discipline Leader of Communication Design at RMIT. Russell is also a Fellow of the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) and Past President of the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA), as well as a longstanding manager of design businesses.

Greg Branson

Past Victorian President of the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA), President of the Design Business Council (DBc), and founder of Mackay Branson Design, a respected Melbourne design studio specialising in corporate and Government design. Greg has been a long-time advocate for design excellence in Australia.

Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA). John has an extensive background in interactive content and marketing including three years as General Manager of Online Media at OzEmail.

Andrew Lam-Po-Tang

Councilor of AGDA Victoria and the AGDA national website editor, Andrew is a strategy consultant specialising in the business of design, and previously owned a design practice specialising is corporate identity. Andrew has written and presented extensively on the business of design, and his design work has been recognised by AGDA and others.

Russell Kennedy

Vice President of Icograda IDA (2003-2005), Senior Lecturer in Visual Communication at Monash University and a practitioner of both graphic design and film-making. Russell has been active in the development and of the Icograda Education Network and the deployment and promotion of worldwide educational exchange initiatives.

Wayne Rankin

Managing Director of Rankin Design, co-founder of the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA), and member of Swinburne National School of Design's Advisory Committee. Wayne was also founder of Swish Group Limited, one of Australia's largest new media companies.

Design Director of Watts Design and Victorian State Councilor and Graphic Design Coordinator for the Design Institute of Australia (DIA). Ian was also a Councilor of the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) for 4 years.
